Dry Anaerobic Indicator Strip is used to create an environment that's suitable for isolating and cultivating anaerobic, microaerophilic, or capnophilic bacteria:
How it works: The strip is attached to an anaerobe sachet, which is then placed in a BD GasPak EZ Gas Generating Container. When the sachet is removed from its wrapper and exposed to air, it becomes activated. The sachet then reduces the amount of oxygen in the container, while producing carbon dioxide.
What it looks like: The strip is blue, but turns colorless when there's no oxygen.
